Hello, lovelies!

I’m Morgan @ “The Rose Quartz”, a British lifestyle and creative blogger with a love for all things craft, books, beauty and geek. I’m also a photographer, a software developer, and a cat lady. Nice to meet you!

Welcome to my little corner of the internet!

If you’d like to contact me, you can email me on:

I’m currently living in my lovely little one bed flat with my fiancé Matt, our two gorgeous cats, Ivy and Harley, and life is good.
Being a Computer Science student, and a child of the “fandom” generation, I don’t have much spare time outside of my degree and the vast amount of hobbies and interests I have. I’m hugely passionate about creativity, films, books, games, TV, photography, fashion and food.

Blog wise, for me, it’s a way of getting all the special bits (and maybe not so special, who knows?) of my life in one place. Expect kittens and Matt, lifestyle posts, books, games and films, reviews, opinions and thoughts, my photography work, art and crafts, food and my work life. If you couldn’t already tell, I’m into pretty much everything.

Thanks for coming, and it would be lovely if you stayed around! I hope you enjoy reading and viewing my ramblings as much as I enjoy living and writing them.

  4. I love your tagline 😉 Geeky and Girly , quite contrasting and interesting 😀 I am somewhere among there too with a degree in Computer Science and a software developer ( but now taking a break due to a strange turn of events :D) and a huge fan of all superhero/fantasy movies/books. Your space here is lovely and I would love you to visit my little corner of the blogosphere 🙂 Cheers and warmest wishes, Minaxi 🙂

  8. Hey Morgan 🙂 I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on this fantastic little corner of the blogosphere for so long! Must remedy that immediately. Loved reading the post about your cats’ quirks. As a former kitty foster-er (is that a word?), I can totally relate to how strange and yet heart warming some of their habits can be 🙂

Looking forward to getting to know you more through your posts 🙂

P.S. Love the name Morgan 🙂

    • Hi Diya! Thank you for stopping by – I absolutely adore your name too. So pretty.
Kitty fosterer sounds like a lovely thing to do. I’d never be able to let them go though, and I’d end up with 1000’s of cats!
Looking forward to having a peek at your blog too 🙂 x

      • Thank you Morgan! 🙂 Diya is a nickname my hubby came up with and it means ‘light’ or ‘lamp’ in Hindi 🙂 There’s your totally useless, random fact of the day 😉

And Bobbie was our first and only kitty. He was a tiny deaf, CH kitten we found abandoned on the street. We were meant to hand him over to a local animal rescue organization but fell in love with him and kept him for a while. Eventually we had to give him up though when we realized I was allergic 😦 Still breaks my heart when I look at old pictures and videos of him… We’re now looking into the possibility of fostering a dog and hoping that works out better 🙂

      • Oh really!? Either way, it’s lovely :D.
What a sweet name for a kitten. Sorry you had to give him away! I can’t even imagine going a day without my baby girls. So precious.
At least you have the photographs to remember him :)!
