Hello, you wonderful reader!
It’s time to share my second instalment for this challenge – thank you again for the nomination Simon.
Unlike the first quote, which was relatively inspirational, today’s is a lot more dramatic and emotional. It hits a lot harder, too, after last night’s awful vote on Syrian strikes.
“When you fire that first shot, no matter how right you feel, you have no idea who’s going to die. You don’t know who’s children are going to scream and burn. How many hearts will be broken! How many lives shattered! How much blood will spill until everybody does what they’re always going to have to do from the very beginning — sit down and talk! Listen to me, listen. I just – I just want you to think. Do you know what thinking is? It’s just a fancy word for changing your mind.”
– The 12th Doctor
For me, this was Peter Capaldi’s defining moment as the Doctor.
I don’t really have much to say about this quote. It’s very powerful, very emotional and I felt as if it had to be shared.
What do you think about this quote? Does it feel as powerful to you, too?
