Being an English Rose, I don’t celebrate Thanksgiving so what I know about this holiday comes solely from American TV shows. Of course, that won’t stop me taking part – here’s to being thankful! I was nominated to take part in this challenge by The Silver Screen Savant, so let me start with a thank you to you! This seems like a great tag to take part in.

5 People I’m Thankful For in 2015:
My fiancé, Matt: 4 years and a lifetime more to come. These years have been the happiest, funniest, most accomplished, most exciting and most memorable years of my life. We’ve shared momentous life events together, and I’ve never had such a perfect best friend. I’m so thankful to have you in my life <3.
My beautiful fur babies: They are the light of my life. I can’t imagine my life without these tiny little drooling fur balls, and they were the greatest accident of my life. I’m so thankful for the smiles they give me everyday.
My family: Most specifically, my parents and brother. We were really close when I was growing up, and even though I’m grown up and I’ve flown the nest, it shouldn’t and doesn’t change a thing! I’m thankful for all the things they’ve done for me, and all the times they put up with me.
My teachers and lecturers: Most specifically, my IT teacher from college. Without him, I wouldn’t have chosen the path of Computer Science and I will be forever thankful for that. He was there day and night for any stressful last minute questions, and not so last minute questions – I couldn’t have asked for a better teacher, who is now my close friend!
You: Just over 2 months ago, this blog didn’t even exist. I couldn’t have wished for a better community to join, and I’m so thankful for every single one of you (psst, especially you!).
5 Things I’m Thankful For in 2015:
I think it’s obvious that I’m grateful for food, shelter, warmth, happiness and life. I’ll share what, less important, things I’m thankful for instead! 🙂
For me and my achievements: I’ve learnt so much this year. I feel like I’ve grown so much as a person too, and I’m caring less and less about the opinions of others which is allowing my own personality to flourish completely. I’m blooming! About time!
For my blog: My blog is always on my mind – blog post ideas, blog design ideas, curious what you’ve recently posted, thankful for today’s likes and comments. It would be a burden if I didn’t love it so much. It’s become my place to explore and share. I’m very thankful!
For games, books, movies and TV series: The list is endless, but I’m so thankful for my hobbies. Most of them brought me and Matt together when we first met (ahem, I introduced Matt to Doctor Who!), and they’ve stuck with us closely ever since! And books, oh books… I do love books.
For the Internet: The ability to communicate around the world is so still something many of us take for granted. It’s brilliant and it can change peoples lives. The internet (even though it is a horrible, deep, dark, cruel place) can be amazing, and without it I wouldn’t have met you!
For my camera and laptop: I am obsessed with taking photographs to document mine and Matt’s lives, but that would be pointless if I didn’t have my little beauty of a laptop to store everything on. I have my entire life, from baby photographs to today stored on it (don’t worry, they’re backed up) – it’s so important for me to keep it all, and I’m thankful for the ability!
