Evening! I have something a little different to share with you tonight – you probably know by now that I’m a giant film fan. It’s something that me and Matt initially had in common when we met (yet we didn’t know at that time to what extent!) and we just became more passionate over the years.
We’ve been hugely preoccupied recently with work, university and newly-kindled hobbies, so our love of movies and our unlimited cinema pass have been neglected massively. Earlier tonight though, we found ourselves back on IMDB rekindling our love and excitement by watching new and recent movie trailers.
So, tonight my plan is to share the reasons I’m suddenly all over-excited!
The Hungers Games: Mockingjay Part 2 (Final International Trailer):
Let’s start with the best. Guess what is being released exactly two weeks today!? You guessed it. The final instalment of The Hunger Games movie franchise. That calls for a re-read of the trilogy in excitement! I haven’t zoomed through a series of books in a while, none at all since starting my new job (which, yes, is a mortifying statistic), but they’re enjoyable, easy reads so it’s not going to be a chore!
Trailer wise though, it looks epic! Katniss is looking bad-ass. The capitol is looking fierce. The sewer mutants are looking terrifying, thankfully. And Prim… sob. I’m super excited.
Alice Through the Looking Glass:
Although nothing could ever replace the original, animated Disney Alice in Wonderland, I thought Tim Burton’s adaptation was amazing so I was overjoyed when I found out there was going to be a sequel! It looks like a dark and dangerous journey – a lot like the representation in the game Alice: Madness Returns. If you’re into fantasy horror games, and haven’t heard of it, check it out!
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies:
I can’t even put into words how cool this looks… Victorian ladies fighting zombies is just such a good premise for a book (which I haven’t read yet, shoot me), and I’m so glad it’s coming out as a film!
Apart from Star Wars – because yes it’s very exciting but I have had enough of hearing about it – are you excited about any upcoming movie releases?
