“Lord of Misrule” Lush Bath Bomb Review

Lord of Misrule” is a Halloween exclusive bath bomb (with a super cool name), and it’s my first taste of a seasonal product. Shame, really, because it was perfect and with it being limited edition, I’m going to have to stock up before it disappears for a full year.

When the bomb first dropped, I actually thought it was pretty boring. It smelt divine, but the colour began as a very pale green and there wasn’t a lot of movement around the bath. I left the room to let it finish, thinking it wasn’t going to be an interesting one to watch, and when I returned minutes later the bath was fill of pink and purple, and the popping candy had started crackling.

It ticked all the boxes. It looked amazing, it smelt amazing and it felt amazing. My skin was left feeling like a silky dolphin, and unlike a lot of other bath bombs I’ve tried recently, I didn’t end up covered in glitter. I’ve definitely found a new favourite! It just obviously had to be limited edition and unavailable for the majority of the year…

The final colour isn’t perfectly shown in the above pictures: it was more like a red wine with really subtle pinks and purples. The fizz lasted quite a long time too, which was a surprise! You don’t often find pretty bath bombs that are long lasting – they’re generally short and sweet. The pink overpowered the green, thankfully, and the combination of colours didn’t end up looking like mucky artists paint water (like The Experimenter…).

Pretty! Have you tried this bath bomb?

Disclaimer: It’s been brought up in my comments before, so I thought I’d clarify – this is not a paid review.
